Husker Pride and Popped Collars
Daily phone status update with RF:
Me: Morning! Top of the Friday to ya. Party arms! It's almost game day. Are you wearing red today?
RF: No, I'm wearing pink--more like a white shirt that was washed with a red shirt.
Me: It's the Friday before Husker Saturday. You have to wear red, per life rules.
RF: Last time I checked we aren't in 8th grade.
Me: Well, I'm wearing red.
RF: You work for the U. It's a rule.
Me: A nice red polo with a popped collar.
RF: You're wearing a popped collar at work?
Me: Yes, yes I am. It's my thing.
RF: Are you going to have lunch at the Rail later?
Me: Touche.
